MY REVERIE set a fast pace and was taken back after going a half mile, then responded gamely when called un in the stretch and, racing into a small lead, outfinished JOHN S. REARDON. The latter raced into the lead on the last turn and when challenged made a game finish. PAULA SHAY closed a big gap and was wearing the first two down at the end. DR. "Won driving; second and third the same. PRINCE DIRECT moved up gradually and, catching the leaders after entering the stretch, stocd a long ninl hard drive and outgamed GUNSICHT. The latter raced prominently tluoughout and fought it out gamely with the winner all through the final eighth. "FULL MOON showed the most speed in pacemaking, but tired midway of the stretch and was lucky to save third place. MARCH LAD was going fast at the end. BRIAN KENT and WOODIE MONTGOMERY tired. GRATIAN set a good pace to the stretch and tired, but finished close up. LADY LE BAND ran well to the last eighth.
