MY DADDY raced within striking distance of the leader until rounding the last turn, where he came fast on the inside and outgamed FREEBOOTER. The latter began slowly, but gradually improved his position and raced into the lead midway of the stretch and, after appearing all over tho winner, tired, but came again right at the end. GOLDFIELD set a fast pace for the going, but tired, after turning for home. CYPREME was going fast at the end. VOORGOLD quit early. SPANISH EOSH raced poorly in the going.
