HAIL WISE COUNSELLOR Supercedes Sarazen as Kentucky Derby Favorite — Rules at 4 to 1, Sarazen 6 to 1. A new Kentucky Derby favorite. It is no other than Chicagos own Derby candidate. WiM Counsellor. Yesterday he was quoted at 4 to 1. a drop of two points from 6 to 1. Thus he supercedes Sarazen. which has been the favorite since future book speculation began. Sarazen opened proceedings at 6 to 1 and later heavy Kastern backing forced him down to 5 to 1. Strange to relate, though, the elevation of Wise Counsellor to post of favoritism sent Sarazens price receding to 6 to 1.
