MAINMAST woiked his way on the outside after rounding the far turn and, forcing GOSHAWK along at a great pace, made the hitter tire, then drew away into an easy load in t he- la»t eighth. GOSHAWK set a tremendous pace, but was kept busy by AVELLFINDER in the early running and w.n tir.itg when the winner challenged him. AVEIJ.FINDLK ran a good race, but tired in the stretch drive » HAMlLAIN ran well. TEN MINI TLS and SHINING LIGHT began very slowly and were gaining at the end. BUDDUGIE was pnrainent throughout, and finished fairly well. METAL raced CAVENDISH into defeat and tired badly in Uie Pnal eighth Hie latter set the early pace, but quit badly.
