I , j i I I I ; NOTED MARE MELODY DEAD Commander J. K. R Rom has reported the death at Harry Morrisseys Kempland farm of the mares Melody and Ask Ma. Both died in giving birth to twins. Melody was probably the highest priced brood mare ever sold by auction in this country and Commander Ross indeed suffered a big loss in her death He as lost a Cud-I gel — Maltha yearling and a yearling by Cod-| gel, from Milkmaid. Fifteen Cudgel foals at Kempland are said to be as good looking as anything in the Btae Crass. One is a colt from Audience and accordingly related to the great Proomstick. Another is a colt from 1riscilla Mullens.
