Zev. with 130 pounds, has been added to the Pimlico Spring Handicap. Mrs. F. Farrar claimed Seths Flower for $:,000. The filly will be shipped to Toronto. J. Chalmers has been engaged to ride Mrs. L. A. Livingstons Smooth Ice in the Kings Plate. Jockey L. Ward will accompany the Maple Heights division of the J. McMillen stable in charge of E. Trueman. J. W. Healy, Sr.. acting for J. Murphy, ;-.old Super King. Tarnish and LittergoM to J. McMillen. The three are juveniles. Louis Angevine wired J. B. Campbell, racing secretary at Blue Bonnets, that the Mon-tr al Jockey Club Stakes filled extremely well. Kenneth Karrick shipped Lady Belle to Belmont Park. She was brought here to run in the Pimlico Oaks but withdrew because of the mud. R. I. Miller, returning from New York, announced that he bought Rival from the Rancocas Stable and took an option on Hourmore. Harry Morrissey spent the day at Pimlico and departed for Philadelphia, planning to return for the Preakness. He will do the starting on the Canadian circuit again this ytar. Dr. F. W. Ashe has a few vacant stalls in a car of horses to be shipped to M Btreal for the Montreal meeting which opens May 17, to be followed by that at Kentnton Park Elmer Wilson will do the starting at both meetings. I.eo Yeitch, who had the mount on Walter J. Salmons jumper Woodley II., is a younger son of the old-time steeplechase rider, Silas Yeitch, who in his day was a star cross country Jockey. Young Yeitch handled Woodley II like a veteran, on which he rede a well-judged race. He will do most of th.: riding for the Salmon Stable in the crosscountry events this season. S. C. Hildreth wired that he is on his way with the RaaCCCas Preakness hopes, I.r.ia-dale and Mad Play. Mad Hatter, an eight-y«ar-old brother to Mad Play, was shipped with the Preakness candidates. Mad Hatter is .aided as a starter in the JT.-.OO Pimlico Spring Handicap tomorrow. A late dlspati li auded Zev to the same race. John Loftus. who won the Preakness of 19LS astride War Cloud and that of 1919 on Sir Barton, arrived from Belmont Park this morning with Apprehension and Faensa, oak Ridge stable candidates for the 1924 renewal of the stake. Loftus is training them. Clarence Turner will come from New York to ride one of them.
