Won handily; 6econd and third driving. FLORENCE W., away well and lucky, raced into a good lead at once and, holding It, gamely outstayed KLAXON. The latter raced prominently from the start and was gaining at the end. BYB BYE began well, hut swerved ont on the first turn and suffered from some interference, then finished fastest of all. LEXINGTON MAID closed a gap and had no mishaps. BUSH BUCK tired in the stretch. BREECHLOADER was done after going three-quarters. THE COMPETITOR was far back all the way. LADY JANE was caught in the barrier. DUST FLOWER raced in improved form and, finishing fast, almost got up to win. GUVVNOR raced well, but finished tiring and just lasted to save third place. AUNTIE MAY was going well at the end. LUGS ran well and had no mishaps. PLEASURE was away badly and pulled up repeatedly and will show vast improvement. BAFFLING was .restrained for the first three-eighths, then raced into the lead with a rush iand won as his rider pleased. BETTER LUCK was taken back sharply in the first quarter and was ridden wide on the turns, but finished fast arid gamely. SUN FLAG was close up in the early racing, but had to be ridden hard in the stretch and tired. T. S. JORDAN set the early pace, but retired after running a fast five-eighths. BEAU BUTLER began slowly and suffered from some interference on the first turn, which forced him to race wide afterwards, but finished ;fast and gamely. LITTLE CELT, probably best, was forced back sharply and ridden wide on the turns, but came through the stretch with a greet rash. MODEST dropped back in the first quarter and failed to respond effectively when called oh i the aire tea. PINDAR FEEL quit after racing well to the Stretch. The latter began somewhat slowly, but closed up ground steadily, came fast throngh the stretch and barely failed to win. PRETTY POLITICIAN set a fast pace to the stretch turn, but tired in the final drive. PHIDIAS was outpaced, but raced gamely. WHITE STAR and ROCKY MOUNTAIN showed speed, but failed to stay.
