SLEDGE followed the winner closely and moved up resolutely when called on and outgamed LOCKERBIE in the final strides. The latter, away well, came on the outside cn the stretch turn and finished fast. LADY LONGRIDGE closed a big gap and finished with a rush. CONFETTI showed speed for a half, but quit badly. VOX POPULI II. showed the most speed, bet lost considerable ground at the jpmp and tired badly when put to a drive. SUNNY MAN began well, but was quickly outrun, then saved ground on all the turns and. finding a clear course on the stretch turn, raced into the lead and won easing up. VOLTAIC followed the early leaders closely and made a game challenge at the eiplitU rost, but was easily held safe. CLOUD-LAND was a forward contender from the start and finished well. SUN HATHOR worked his way up on the outside, but came wide when entering the stretch. SWOPE began slowly and closed a big gap. THE BAT showed eaily speed, but tired. Won driving; second and third the same. SARAZEN, away slowly, moved up quickly and, following the leaders under restraint, passed SUN FLAG in the stretch and outstayed KLONDYKE in the final drive. KLONDYKE was badly outrun for the first half, but moved up lapidly after rounding the far turn and raced into the lead at the eighth post, but tired badly in the final strides. WISE COUNSELLOR was taken back and saved to the last turn and came on the outside in the stretch and finished fast and gamely. SUN FLAG showed the most early speed and set a fast pace, but tired. SAMARITAN ran well. HONOR and BEAU BUTLER were always outrun.
