TIMELY THOUGHTS was easily best, took the lead quickly and won in a canter. ENETTE began slowly and was in early difficulties, but saved ground on the last turn and finished resolutely. PIU.OUETTE lacked early speed, but finished well. TIME AND TIDE was close up throughout. BETTY OWEN was thoroughly done after running a good three-quarters. BARDALID was close tip from the start and, though meeting slight interference, proved easily the best of the others. IIABltY DAVIS JR. began well and showed a good turn of speed, but lost some ground on the last turn and just lasted to beat WILTKUDE WOOD. The latter began slowly and had a rough race, but finished fast. GUINEA GIRL showed speed for a half mile, then tired badly. , Scratched 82474 Acceleration, !!!. SKOKIE was always close up, but lost ground on the last turn, which possibly cost her the race as she was tiring a bit at the end. THE LAMB made up ground rapidly after leaving the l.aokstretth and, finishing fast, might have won with a bit farther to go. ATHANNA set a fast early pace and raced AMACKASSIN into defeat, but tired in the stretch. AMACKASSIN was away none too well, but was rushed up into the lead and tired in the final sixteenth. LAWRENCE MANNING raced into a contending, position after going a quarter and seemed to have a chance, but tired in the final eighth. The latter was weakly ridden and lost much ground on the last turn, but finished with a rush. AVILMER THE AVIZARD showed a good order of speed from the start and was a close contender to the final eighth, where he tired. BODY GUARD was closa up for the entire way and finished well. FAIR ROWENA made up some ground. THE AVORLD showed speed on the backstretch. BE FRANK lost all chance at the start. AAAR ZONE was away slowly and ran poorly. Scratched 85401 Doubtful, 117.
