APEX raced forwardly from tha start and, finishing fast on the outside, outgamed LADY AUDREY at the end. The latter moved up resolutely on the inside and finshed fast. LUCKY STRIKE ran a good race. SEA SAND had no mishaps. APPELLATE showed early speed. LADY BOSS set the early pace and quit badly. AL BOYD raced BELLE ARTISTE into defeat and took a good id lead, but tired when put to a drive. MODO, fractious at the barrier, tired in the final quarter.
