JOCKEYS ASK FOR INCREASE NEW ORLEANS, La.. Nov. 2S. A petition signed by sixty-two jockeys requesting that riding fees be increased at the Jefferson Park meeting, was presented to the stewards prior to the first race. The petition asked that a winning mount be 5 and a losing mount 0. The stewards notified the committee that presented the petition that 1hey would give the matter their consideration. The stewards, after consideration, late in the afternoon gt anted the request, to become effective with Saturdays racing.
