KEENELAND BREEDING FARM Comprises 34 Brood Mares and Four Stallions, Including Master Robert, Altawoods Sire. LEXINGTON, Ky., Nov. 30. J. O. Kcene recently disposed privately of Lucknow, to Capt. McKinney, of the United States Remount Association. The horse is by Luke McLuke Carene, by Grey Leg. He will be transferred shortly to one of the remount depots where he will enter on active stud duty. It is Mr. Keenes intention to apply himself more diligently to his farming and breeding interest and with this in view he ia steadily selling off his racers. The superb filly, Alice Blue Gown, has been retired to the stud and will be mated with Stefan the Great or Royal Canopy. At present Mr. Keene has thirty-four brood mares at his farm and four sires, of which Master Robert, sire of Altawood, is at tho top. The other stallions are Pagan Pan, by Luke McLuke Black Brocade ; Atheling, by Desmond Wood Daisy, by Cyllene ; Sun Mole, by Rock Sand Merry Token, by Merry Hampton. Sun Mole is a brother to Mahuba, dam of the noted Man o AATar. Pagan Pan, at present, is Mr. Keenes favorite and among the yearlings he has sired, is a filly that gives much promise, having shown a quarter mile trial in 22 seconds, over the Churchill Downs track. Mr. Keene intends to restrict the stallions to a limited number o mares probably twenty at a nominal fee.
