JAMES B. BROWN, outrun early, moved up with a rush next to the inside rail entering the home stretch and drew away into a long lead in the last eighth to win by a wide margin. JOE CAMPBELL tired badly after disposing of HAZEL DALE rounding the far turn and was no match for the winner. CONSCRIPT ran well and finished fast. PATSY B. began flat footed and closed a gap. DANGER CROSS, racing on the outside of BLACK DINAH for the entire distance, fought it out with the latter all through the last quarter and got up in the last strides and would probably have won farther off had OMahonry resorted to hand riding instead of going to the whip. THE ALMONER followed IRISH FRIEZE closely from the start and, taking the lead when the latter tired, was driving to the limit at the end to withstand the rush of DUELMA, which finished with a cyclcnic rusli next to the inside rail. The latter began slowly and closed a big gap, jujt failing to get up. DELHIMAR tired after making a gool bid inside the eighth post. IRISH FRIEZE tired badly at the eDd after displaying early speed.
