KIRKWOOD raced into the lead easily after gong the first quarter and won in a canter. Will THOUGHTS raced well on the insde, but was in the deepest going and tired. NO "WONDER showed the most early speed and finished fairly well. PAWNBROKER clcs?d a big gap and finished fast in the best going. CAR made up much ground from a slow start and also finished iu good going. MEDDLING SETH tired badly. NAN McKINNEY was waited with behind the early leaders and, coming fast in the stretch, took the lead and drew away to win under restraint. WOODIE MONTGOMERY was ontrun and was on the inside in the heaviest going all the way, but finished fast through the final eighth. VESPER BKLLS set a good pace and was out in the good going all the way, but gave way readily when challenged. MAD NELL moved up rapidly through the back stretch and made a short turn into the stretch, but tired badly in the last hundred yards. JACK LEDI ran well. PRETEXT quit badly after running well for a half mile. BARRISKANE was excessively used racing into a long lead through the heavy going and tired badly when clinllenged by the winner. MISS PAIGE did her best to keep up in the early stages, but was always outpaced. ARRAAAN was favored by the going, but lacked early speed and only overhauled those that began to tire after going a half mile. EAALYN HARRIGAN quit after going fairly well for a half mile. BRIGnT IDEA lacked early speed and was not intelligently ridden, but finished fast through the heavy going. KOSMAN tired after setting the early pace.
