HAVANA TURF NOTES HAVANA, Cuba, Dec. 22. Jockey Seremba resumed riding Sunday, having recovered from a fall on Capt. Clover. Crestwood Boy, which was stricken suddenly with kidney trouble, is recovering. Jockey C. Casserollas injuries as revealed by the X-ray, are in the head. Since his arrival here he has been unable to ride. The six leading money riders during the past week were C. Allen, "W. Smith, K. Noe, A. Pickens, A. Yerratt and L. Neal. Sunday was the banner day of the meeting at Oriental Tark. A record breaking crowd turned out and the speculation reminded one of .the old days here, when the layers used to be fairly swamped with wagers. The management provided a splendid program for the occasion, seven races with two handicaps as features. Jockey Albiker put up a good ride when he landed Countess Claridge home a length in front of Little Black Sheep in the first race Sunday. Countess Claridge won because Albiker took the short route and saved ground. At the top of the stretch she began to tire, and Little Black Sheep would undoubtedly have beaten her had Smith kept her straight. Entering the home stretch Little Black Sheep went very wide and lost a couple of lengths, which cost her the race. "When Lavid Harum participated in a horse trade, he knew what he wjis about, but turfmen doubt if this applies in the exchange bringing Oran to the Fair Play stable for Full Again, owned by II. C. Rummage. Oran, a rogue at the barrier and barred from rtarting hereafter at Oriental Park, would seem to be inferior to Full Again, but Mr. Rummage says names mean nothing, also that reformation may fall to the lot of beast as vell as humanity. j d is ie e t- g J- 1- s m
