LEADING AMERICAN JOCKEYS Although jockey Ivan Parke, the champion rider of this year, as lie was also in 1923, returned to the saddle at Jefferson Park and had ten mounts, he failed to ride a winner last week. Not that he did not ride well, but seemingly fate was against him though he finished second on four different occasions. However, he should not he long in adding to his imposing record for the year, which now stands at 202 winners. Parke is the only American rider this year to pass the 200 mark in winning mounts. The highest score of last week Avas hung up by K. Noe, who rode six winners. K. Hoagland also figured prominent- with five, while D. Mergler and W. Smith each rode four.
