Won driving; second and third the same. RUNAAVAY ran a surprisingly game race, was much used at the post and, after alternating in tctting the pace, came again resolutely and won after appearing beaten when fifty yards out. LITTLE SHASTA forced a fast early pace and, after wresting the lead from the winner, tired in the final strides. AIRGINIA CARLTON began slowly and had a rough race, but finished with a tremendous rush through the stretch. DR. McARTHUR could not keep up early, but gained steadily in the final eighth. RASCH followed the pacemakers persistently from the start, slipped through on the inside on the last turn and, in a hard drive, outgamed COLONEL LIT. The latter forced a good pace and raced into the lead, but was tiring at the end. RARRISKANE set a good pace and was done at seven-eighths, but firiished resolutely. SHE DEAIL was permitted to run headlong into a certain jam on the first turn and was knocked to the middle of the turn, then never recovered. ROYAL QUEEN raced well. IE LION, but came "again and recovered the lead at the end. COEUR DE LION was hampered in the early running and came fast through the stretch, but tired when he, appeared the winner. THREE SQUARE forced a fast pace to the stretch and tired. PRESERVATOR -was always close, up and finished weU.
