Cotner. one of the leading: candidates in the Kentucky Derby, is destined for a campaign at the Hawthorne track this year, reservations for this leading three-year-old and twenty other horses having been made by Harned Bros. and Jones, widely known Kentucky breeders and trainers. The Cotner colt is owned by R. W. The crack youngster was at Hawthorne last year in the hands of Harned Bros. and Jones and when he ran three-quarters toward the close of the meeting under 122 pounds and won as he pleased from the best two-year-olds racing at Hawthorne great things were predicted for him in his three-year-old career. Harried Bros. and Jones will race at the three spring meetings in Kentucky — at Lexington. There will be individual sleeping rooms in each of the bungalows for ten. which will be constructed along the lines of a compartment Pullman car.
