IJ0CKEY POOL FORTUNATE Escapes Internal Injuries But Four Ribs Are Broken — Other Injured Riders Improving. LOUISVILLE. Ky., May 22.— Jockey Pool was reported resting comfortably at the hospital, where he was taken. He escaped internal injuries, but the four fractured ribs, two on each side, will keep him out of the saddle for some time. Jockey II. Stutts, is also coming along nicely, but he will have to be an absent-x; from the saddle for several months. He is in a local hospital, suffering with an injury to his back as a result of the fall he sustained during the early part of the Lexington meeting. Jockey T. Brothers, whose foot was injured when kicked by one of the starters in a race here recently, went to his home, in Dayton, Ohio, where he will rest until the opening of the Latonia meeting. Jockey H. Burke, who fell in the same race that caused jockey Pools injury, was out of the saddle today as a result of the bruises he sustained. Jockey Zucchini was not injured and rode this afternoon.
