Dick Welles Selections At Havre Be Grace f i ! * j i , j ! It 1M»st HOIt.N— A PLAIN JACK— SKOME SK ONI. POST HORN ;mil CAPTAIN JACK should furnish a lively time in the first race. POST HORN holds a slight advantage over the hitter, however, and should be the one to be home the winner. CAPTAIN JACK has been entered several times since arriving from -Miami, hut each time his trainer declared him out of the race for one reason or another. He showed well over the Florida course and is expected to be ■ keen contender all the way here. GNOME SECOND showed a couple of good races over the Howie course and a race back to either one of those efforts a ould find him getting the show money. -.WINTER— BEE LM MAKKK-I.E AT HER WOO I. CANI8TER has been burning up the track in Iter morning trials and a race to those works would find her home an easy winner. These works followed her last out when ake was a bang-up second to St. Valentine. DREAM MAKER performed well in his last race when he forced Everglade to do his best to beat him a neck. In his present good form he is going to cause the winner all kinds of trouble. LEATHRRWOOD won his last, race in a most convincing fashion, but the company ho meets here is of a different sort and dont look for him to prove a repeater. Think he is good enough to race to the show. ■ EST S HOT— 1. 1 ■ X OS— CI O L I E W WOE RE R. Twenty three-year-olds of the plater class meet in the third race and as the limit number is expected to go postward it will take a fast breaker to get away from the pack in order to avoid, the crowding and jostling which will MM with the running. BEST SHOT is usually away in the first flight and should go well here. Her last race here found her finishing third to Mabel and Panola. She is reported to he in racing trim at the present and should be the one to score. LEMNOS had a race at Bowie since coming to Maryland but he didnt fare so well. Look for him to do better today. GOU EN WAX-IdKRER has been praised so much that he is ■ hard one to pass up. Is well liked for the third money. DINT I I*— MONTKERRAT— WAR. LORD. DUST DP is picked to beat MOXTFEE- RAT in the fourth number. This Seagram . racer showed exceptionally well over the Miami course and is able to do better than that which he showed in his last race IMONTPERRAT was able to graduate in hi? last race and he accomplished the task in a most convincing fashion. If he were to | run the same race today he would cause the winner all kinds of trouble. WAR LOUP, a son of the mighty Man o War has not been ! seen in action this year. He has been work- ! ing yi fine style and is the one expected to take third. l M 1.1. IK R— FOREt ASTER— GOLDEN SPIRE. CCDGELLER now has two victories in a row, after his winning race on Saturday, and is in the best of form and look for him to run his score to three. He is asked to pack j top weight of 12*i pounds hut he should be j able to give this bunch a few pounds and a licking. FORECASTER is in at 124 pounds but he does not rate anywhere near TD- GELLER at the weights. He won his last : out carrying 113 pounds but dont think he lean pick up eleven pounds and repeat. !OL- ! DEN SPIRE raced fairly well at Miami and if he has retained his form will very likely prove a hard one to beat. JACQUES— nr SO VI A— HICKORY. JACQUES raced disappointingly in his last out and is well able to show to much better advantage. Possibly the jockey who was aboard him his last out had something to do j with his defeat. If a good rider can be found j to pilot him, thing he will go well here. i lUSOYlA hasnt raced any too well in his I recent starts but if he runs anywhere near his latest workouts will be the one to take down the place money. HICKORY, on his 1 ] last race, may take third. FORNOVO— 4. RAY GABLES— BEAKS KEY. In the concluding race on the program , | FORNOYO looks much the best. Since , i competing over the Maryland courses he has . won once and finished second twice. Whatever . opposition he meets should come from . the Hedwell racer, CRAY CARLES. The . latter has been rather slow in rounding into winning form but his last races indicate . that he is going to improve. GRAND BET tea raced well of late and appears to be easily best of the others.
