ALGOL raced into second place with a rush, then forced a fast pace and. responding gamely when railed on. wore KNIGHT down steadily in the stretch and took the lead in the final sixteenth. KNIGHT began fast, raced into a brief lead and. savins ground on the turns, made a game finish. OTURK raced in a forward position from the start, but was unable to threaten the two leadera. SBSQUI, shuffled bark in the early racing, secured a clear course in the last three-eighths and closed a gap. MI. RATION was in close quarters early and was crowded ha k. then came wide into the stretch and finished fast. HON KY FISH was away well and had no mishaps. HOLE "ARIL close up from the start, responded with a rush when called on for the final drive, finished gamely into the lead and held it to the end. P.ODY GUAM set a fast pace, but could not withstand the winners rush. SI KY gained fast in the last half mile and finished with a belated rush on the outside. AMEN-KA closed a big gap with high speed through the stretch. BROWN STOUT met with repeated interference in the early running and tired right at the end. CROYDEN. hard ridden from the start, worked his way into third plaee and made a game finish. SINGLE FOOT had to be hard ridden to avoid iK-ing interfered with in the early running, then improved his position fast in the last half mile and finished fastest of all. PRINCE OK WALES set a great pace and saved ground on the turns, but tired in the la-t eighth. CANTER ran an impressive race and was racing gamely at the end. SILVER FOX lseked his usual early speed and was in close quarters for the greater part of the race on the inside, but secured a clear course on the outside of the leaders in the stretch and finished resolutely. MARCONI closed a big gap. HAPPY AltCO was caught in a jam soon after the start and could never get up SCNSARD showed early speed. 4 CDGELI.ER raced well.
