NORTHERN STAR closed up fast on the outside of the leaders in the stretch into the lead and drew clear in the last few yards. EASTER I-APDIE raced close up throughout. MARY G. steadily improved her position in the stretch and outgamed BLENNERHASSETT. The latter showed the most early speed, but tired in the last eighth. NIVLAG ran out.
