The latter improved his position fast and. finishing with fine speed, was rapidly wearing the winner down. LILY SUE raced close up. saod ground on the turns and finished gamely. LTJC1E ANN ran a good race throughout. POLLY POKER nade up ground and was going fast at the end. SLKY began well, but sulked and dropped back, then came cx-tremclx wide into the stretch. IMA BABY showed early speed. MASTER SWEEP began sluggishly and would not extend himself. BLOW HORN raced into an easy lead and set a good pace under slight restraint until challenged, but could not withstand the rush of the winner. MARAT waa taken all over the track and finished in the deepest going. LANOIL l cgan slowly and made up some ground. TYPECITTER and DONARITA ran poorly. ROSE ETERNAL rushed into a pood lead directly after the start and. setting a fast pace, won all the way. but had to be shaken up to withstand the rush of SPORT HALLAHAN. The latter, always in nearest pursuit of the winner, finished gamely and was gaininp fast at the end. KNAPSACK worked his way up on the outside and finished resolutely. BOGAN closed a pap and finished fast. FI.IK/V and SUNCHEN closed big gaps. MAURICE tired. N1TOUCIIE dropin-d back soou after the st.rt, LENNY was never prominent. There was much crowding while rounding the last turn and several of the starters were eliminated. The latter raced close up while on the outside, made a fast finish. CRYSTAL DOMINO set a pood pace, saved pround on the turns, and staved tenaciously in rhe final drive. SANFORD fought the race out pamely to the end. EDISTO was hard ridden all the way. BANTON came extremely wide into the stretch and lost all chance. DISPLAY and DANiJEROlS «er« far back throughout.
