LATE WOODBINE ARRIVALS J. E. Smallman Arrives From London — A. Brent and M. Adams Stable Back From Tijuana. TORONTO. Ont.. April 25— The J. K. Smallman string, which but lately got in from I„ondon. comprises Ifs and Ands, Meer-Bchaum, Catamaran. Successor. Probate, I Annieter. the old-timer Kicksy-Wicksy, their Kings Plate hope ; Meeran and two two-year-olds, these being Mirth, by the C. R. A. stallion Alsanam, and Tickolette and Kelp, also by Alsanam, the dam in this case being Sea Kroth. Merry Monarch was left behind at the London farm, where he will continue in the stud till the fall, at which time he will be brought back to the races. Trainer Gleaxon reports the arrival of two colt foals, one by For Pair — Tickolette, and the other by the Canadian Racing Associations McNeill — Tiger Kmpress. Mr. Cleason Is quite enthusiastic about the pair. He Mates they are expecting two more foals almost any day now. Arthur Brent and the Mack Adam Stable are the first arrivals from Tijuana and will I probably be the only stables to come here from the Mexican course. The Brent string are at the Woodbine, quartered just behind the J. K. Smallman location at the extreme northwest corner of the grounds. The Mack Adam Stables horses went to Thorncliffe Park. HRKNT STRING NUMBERS SIX. Mr. Brent has an even half-dozen at the east end course, these being I»rumbeat, Iaseiste, Rural Cossip. Matilda B.. Rock Shell and Charlotte Hall. Hamadan, another belonging to this stable, is at present under Buck Foremans care at Havre de Grace and will be brought up with that string at the conclusion of the Havre meeting. Five horses were sold by Mr. Brent while at Tijuana, Postman and Erica being purchased by C. .lames; Alceste went to J. W. Crippen : Crystal Boer to Frank Reinhardt, while Walter Dupuis, well-known polo player, bought Kickapoo from him early in the season. He also disposed of the contract he held on R. Cooi er to .1. J. Walsh, Winnipeg owner, but has another boy whom he belives has the making of a real race rider. This youngster is J. Pollard, a local lad. Mr. Brent states judge Francis Nelson intends motoring from Tijuana with starter Mars C:issidy, Jr., but they are not due in Toronto for several days yet. The Mack Adam Stables horses that went up to Thorncliffe are Margaret St. L., Cicil-Ity, Blind Cast, Honey Queen and Roy Williams. Jockey R. DePrema accompanied the stable. •Carney* Wilson is on the scene. He brought one horse, a three-year-old. which he has deposited with P. T. Richardson for conditioning. . A
