There were three horses claimed in the first race Monday at Jamaica. Bill McCaba was taken by C. Ferraro for ,000. Aversion went to W. A. Rosen for ,000. Tall-wood was claimed by the Bay Ridge Stable. John Rogan, who was associated with John Walters, dean of the club set for majiy years, ha.a become a commissioner by his own right.
