May 10. - In the Jefferson Hotel Handicap, to be run at Fair-mount Iark July 2 with ,000 added, are 1 many of the best handicap horses in America and the race is attracting attention quite as much as the Fairmount Derby. The much discussed French-bred horse, Cotlogomor, is one of the nominees and his owner, S. A. Cowan, the wealthy Cleveland sportsman, has announced that he will race here. Other prominent owners who will be represented are the Audley Farm with their peerless Princess Doreen : Col. E. R. Bradley with six nominations including Boot to Moot, winner of the American I erby last year ; Seagram Stables Sir Harry, winner of the Coffroth Handicap this year ; Fo.vhall I. Keenes Topboot ; Senator J. N. Camdens Dark Phantom and Wooldridge ; H. Teller Archibalds Candy Blackbird, also many other prominent owners have nominated their best horses. The winner will receive a handsome silver trophy which will be presented by Col. Lyman T. Hay who has a dual interest in the race, as he is president of the Hotel Jefferson Company and also of the Fairmount Jockey Club.
