CONNAUGHT PARK MEETING Conditions Auspicious for Excel lent Sport During Seven Days DaysFrom From June 8 to June 15 OTTAWA Ont May 30 Things are shap ¬ ing up well according to President Belcourt and other officials for the spring meeting of the Connaught Park Jockey Club which is to be held at the popular local course from Wednesday June 8 to June 15 in ¬ clusive Visiting horsemen will find every ¬ thing ready for them when they arrive arriveSecretary Secretary Tommy Gorman has gone to Toronto to confer with officials of the Cana ¬ dian Racing Associations and others who will be identified with the Connaught Park management this summer He will make arrangements for the operation of a special train from Thorncliffe to Ottawa immediately after the races at Thorncliffe Practically all the big stables that raced at Woodbine will be shipped to Ottawa while many will come up from Mount Royal Montreal and New York The Jockey Club has made ar ¬ rangements for extra stable accommodations should any be necessary and will have two motor caravans available to carry the thor ¬ oughbreds to and from the Aylmer Fail Grounds which is less than a mile from Connaught Park It will not be necessary to turn any desirable campaigners away awayEugene Eugene Bury will be racing secretary at Ccnnaught Park succeeding Joseph McLen ¬ nan He will be assisted by W J Morri ¬ son of Montreal who has been connected for many years with the Connaught Park staff staffRacing Racing will be conducted under the au ¬ spices of the Canadian Racing Associations and under the patronage of Ix rd and Lady Willingdon who will attend in state on Saturday June 11 11Applications Applications for stable room will be re ¬ ceived by Gene Bury at Toronto and Billy Morrison at Montreal or may be sent to secretary Gorman at Ottawa
