SAMBEAU left the post fast, but was forced to come wide at the elbow and tired slightly at the end. LOVEKEN was always in close quarters and raced creditably. GLADYS CLARK was off slowly and always far back. JACK OLEEN inet with some interference and was being eased up at the end. SEPOY, saved close up in the early running and shut off at the head of the stretch, finished fast and gamely and held PETER PETER safe all through the final eighth. The latter set a good pace and saved ground on the stretch turn, but tired in the final drive. SENALADO, outrun early, closed up some ground, hut appeared high in flesh. McAULIFFE took the lead briefly and raced well to the stretch turn, then ran out badly, losing much ground. CROSSFIRE had no mishaps. CATSPLAY began slowly and swerved over to the inside, but made a fast and game finish under a vigorous ride. MISS HOGAN finished with a rush and took third place in the last stride. COLORFUL, in close quarters early, closed up some ground and finished gamely. BRISTOL, forced to race wide in the early running, was repeatedly cut off and fought his way up on the inside in the stretch. JOAN GRIER showed speed, but lost several lengths on the stretch turn.
