STATLER HOTEL HANDICAP Field of High-Class Performers in Saturdays Fixture. 4 Princess Doreen, Helens Babe and Other Stars in $.,009 Attraction at Fairmount Park. COLLINSVILLE, 111., June 23. An excellent field is in prospect for the Statler Hotel Handicap, with ,,000 added, the next of the stake fixtures on the Fairmount Jockey Clubs program, and which will have its decision Saturday, June 25. Arrivals during the week of racers that are being pointed toward the stake have occurred, adding to the quota of eligibles for the handicap that have been quartered at the course. The Audley Farms Glister and Princess Doreen, the latter, after qualifying for the race by virtue of her convincing performance in her only start here, will likely represent Messrs. Montfort and B. B. Jones in Satur-daysstake. The mount on Princess Doreen will likely be entrusted to jockey E. Legere, and she will be called upon to shoulder top weight impost in the event. From Latonia came Helens Babe, from the H. P. Headley stable, in the care of trainer Johnny Daniels, and the latter feels sanguine that Helens Babe will be the one to bsat for the prize. The little daughter of Brown Prince II. has met and defeated Princess Doreen before and has also bowed in defeat to her. Helens Babe, along with her stablemate Supremus, cut a wide swath in accounting for the main stake fixtures at Lincoln Fields last year and this fact, coupled with her recent performance of establishing a- new track record for the one mile route at the Lexington spring meeting installs her as a very formidable factor in the Statler Hotel Handicap. The popular and game mare will likely have a large following of admirers Saturday afternoon. Jockey W. Lilley is expected here from Latonia to guide Helens Babe in her attempt to account for honors in this event. The Coventry Stable of S. A. Cowan have shipped here the French-bred horse Cotlogo-mor, a big factor in the Miami racing of the past winter and also victorious in the 0,-000 New Orleans Handicap at the Fair Grounds in February. Cotlogomor also made liis presence felt in his start at Tijuana in the Coffroth Handicap. The Coventry Stables colorbearer and adequate Vest after his strenuous winter campaign and will be in tip top shape for his race at Fairmount Park on Saturday. Among other contestants slated for the Statler Hotel Handicap are C. A. Coyles Sea Rocket, and a pair of racers expected from "Washington Park representing H. G. Bed-well, which are expected to arrive in ample time for the race, probably Cudgellcr and Ban ton. "With such formidable contestants as these ready for action, patrons of the course arc I assured of witnessing one of the best handi-caps ever offered at Fairmount Park.
