Connor has added the good plater Mum Ruffln to his band at Churchill Downs, having purchased the horse from Harry P.en-Binger of Louisville. Jockey Tommy Murray, who rode at the Fair Grounds meeting, is a recent arrival from New Orleans, lie will ride as a free lance at the local spring meeting. Albert i tana, foreman of the Audley Farm Stable, has left for a visit of ten days to his parents in Richmond Hill, Dong Island, X. Y. The Maryland division of the H. P. Headley stable, in charge of Walter Taylor, is a recent departure for Howie. The shipment included Alike Hall, a candidate for the Dixie I landicap. The go.id filly Mary Jane, which was purchased last summer by Mrs. A. Harriman, owner of the Log Cabin Stable, from Calla-ber and Combs, has been retired from racing and is to be bred to l.adkin.
