• # JAMAICA STAKE DATES NEW YORK, N. Y , April 13— Stake dates for the spring meeting of the Metropolitan Jockey Club at Jamaica were announced Tuesday. As usual, the Paumonok Handicap, at three-quarters, for three-year-olds and over, will be the feature on opening day, April 23. In all, eighteen fixtures will be renewed during the twenty-one day meeting. They are as follows: April 23 — Paumonok Handicap, ,000 added ; three-quarters mile. April 24— Suffolk Claiming Stakes, ,000 added ; five-eighths mile. April 26 — Highland Claiming Stakes, ,000 added ; three-quarters mile. April 28— Colorado Stakes, ,000 added ; five-eighths mile. April 28 — Wood Memorial Stakes, 0,000 added ; one mile and 70 yards. April 30 — Montauk Claiming Stakes, ,000 added ; five-eighths mile.
