TRAINER DICK MILLER PASSES AWAY IN EAST NEW YORK N Y June 11 Death claimed one of the most lovable characters on the1 turf when R C Dick Miller died at noon today following a long illness He was about 58 years old and had spent the greater part of his life in intimate connection with racing In his time he trained noted per ¬ formers on the turf among them being Africander FranceSco Haime Ethics and later Sand1 Marsh which was winner of the Paumonok at Jamaica JamaicaMiller Miller became associated with Dwyer Brothers in 1800 as an exercise boy and later was a rider When Harry Campbell the trainer died he succeeded to his position He later trained for Charley Dwyer and Sim Dimel and was with them until the partner ¬ ship was dissolved In the last few years he trained a public stable Funeral arrangements will be announced later The funeral will be held from his home 10013103rd Avenue Richmond Hill
