With a break in the weather the management is prepared for a owd of from twelve to twenty thousand, half of which probably will be women, who will take adva- age of "Ladies Day." The mov. Lone newsreel will be on the scene, shooting the opening day crowd and canning the noises. There will be no radio broadcast direct from the tar " Driving time from the loop to the track is anything from an hour and five minutes up to — depending upon how careful you are. Running time on the train is an hour and ten minutes. Flying time is twelve minutes flat. The daily purse distribution is ,000, with ,600 on Saturdays and with no purse less tl -n 00. Don Lavery and Art Kahn, radio stars from WGES, whose nightly skit, "Jiggc and Cohen," deals with an imaginary rac horse at Aurora, will be guests of the management. They hope they dont bet on that kind of an animal. The public is again advised of the managements new rule against tipping employees and attendants. If any employee ac epts a gratuity he will be discharged. The plant has been redecorated from the train shed to the back fence and the entrance is now twice as large as formerly to care for the club house patronage. The color scheme in the grandstand mu-tuel department is green and white, ith the latter color pr iominatir.p It in a trick paint that catches and reflects the sunlight, with the result that the dingy appearance of other years is gone for ever. Word was received thrt the dozen or so horses belonging to Miss B. Watson, and which are being handled .t Pimlico by Phil Router, will arrive by Monday. The E. B. McLean horses, four in number, have arrived from Louisville in charge of trainer Johnny Schorr. W. P. Gaines and his contract rider, W. Day, were arrivals from Maryland Wednesday night. Mrs. Gaines, who underwent an operation at New Orleans two weeks ago, is showing great improvement and wa3 ren "1 to her home several days ago. C. B. Irwin canceled his stall room at Aurora ind shipped to Kansas City.
