SIX HORSES PERISH IN FIRE LEXINGTON, Ky., Jan. 11 Six thoroughbred horses in- training at the farm of Albert Smitha, near Athens, Ky., were lost this morning in a fire which destroyed the training barn and about twenty tons of hay and straw. The horses were General Clinton, Sue Barker, Frances Smitha, Dorothy Smitha and Panka-Yanka, two-year-old, all the property of Albert Smitha, and the two-year-old brown colt by Bostonian The Wench, owned by the Warm Stable, the nom de turf for Silas Mason and Arnold Hanger. My Lava, property of Smitha and a two-year-old bay gelding by Dress Parade Eastern Star, property of Warm Stable, were rescued. i
