JORGHENSEN, much the best and under strong restraint until reaching the final five-sixteenths, wore down the leader without need of pressure and, continuing resolutely took the lead and won with speed to spare. INTRUDER, under a hustling ride, showed speed, worked his way into a long lead and held on fairly well, but was no match for the winner. DUSKY BOY, inclined to bear in throughout, closed resolutely under a strong ride and, wearing down GLEN LAD, outstayed BLOW FLY. The latter, fractious at the post, began slowly and improved her position steadily, but was unable to get up. GLEN LAD quit. LOYAL LOUIE raced evenly. SCANDAL SHEET, under brisk urging after going a quarter; tired after moving-up weakly in the stretch. PIECEMEAL began fast and moved up steadily in the stretch, heading MISS UPSET in the final strides. The latter improved her position with a rush in the stretch, swerved to the inside near the end and just failed to outlast PIECEMEAL. ELKHART, hard urged from the start, tired. ESTABROOK tired badly after showing speed to the stretch. DEAR NANETTE raced wide and dropped out of it in the stretch. FRED AUERBACH began in a tangle and was always far back. SHACKELFORD began slowly, soon reached the lead and held on well. VOLT METER, a factor throughout, tired in the drive. BELEN began fast, met interference when dropping out of it on the first turn, came through on the inside and closed a gap. ENTRAP had no mishaps and quit. PROMETHEUS bolted on the first turn, showed early speed and was eased up after going five-eighths.
