LEXINGTON TURF NOTES f $ , F. W. Fletcher and A. L. Denny, well-known horsemen, were among recent arrivals and will remain until after the Kentucky Association spring meeting. Fletcher spent the winter at Cincinnati, while Denny was active at both New Orleans and Miami since the close of the 1931 Kentucky season. James McCoy, who rode with much success at New Orleans during the winter, has returned to his home here. He has several attractive offers from large western stables, but has been doing so well "free lancing", that he may turn them down. Louis Aron has been galloping and working horses here daily for the past week and should be in perfect trim when the new season opens. Bather, W. M. Ingrams good color-bearer, has .been turned over to T. L. Pierce by W. N. Potts, who raced him at Oriental Park. Potts turned out Granite Dust and Meg Merrilies, others which he campaigned at that Cuban track. Bob Shannon reports both Stratosphere arid Wine Color going along well and plans to race the two-year-olds here. Following the local meeting he ships to New York. " Mexican Tea, owned by Gorham Brothers will be bred to Justice F. this season. Mexican Tea is the dam of Burning Blaze, crack three-year-old in the Shandon Farm Stable. Jane Logan, dam of Justic Logan and both owned by the Gorhams, also goes to Justice -F.s court this year.
