i , ! . ! ! 1 I - J t CLOTHOS THIRD STRAIGHT Whitney Racer Scores in the Byran and OHara Memorial Handicap at Thorncliffe Park. TORONTO, Ont., June 4.— Clotho, racing for Cornelius Vanderbilt Whitney, master of the vast Brookdale nursery in New Jersey, scored his third successive triumph and his most important victory when he earned major honors in the initial running of the Bryan and OHara Memorial Handicap, a test over the mile and one-sixteenth route that seived as the principal race on the semifinal day of racing at Thorncliffe Park today. Five started in the Memorial event and it was Sylvester W. Labrots four-year-old filly Tred Avon that chased the Whitney colt to the end of the long journey. Saving third from Royal Ruffin, from the Braedal-bane Stable, and Khorasan, from the Sea-gram Stable, was Mrs. Ray Pollards Uluniu. The Bryan and OHara Memorial was the j magnet for an immense gathering at the Leaside course and there was but a brief r delay at the barrier before a good start took c place.
