EVENING NOT TRAINING WELL HOMEWOOD, 111., Jun 4.— Evening, early favorite for the Illinois Oaks, was withdrawn from the filly race because she had not been training well since her arrival at Washington Park early in the week. It was said that assistant trainer Bill Mulhol-land telei/ ned trainer Joyner Friday night seeking his judgment on the advisability of starting the filly. Evening was on the track this morning and, unseating her exercise boy, struck the fence but was not injured to any extent. Jockey Linus McAtee, who was to have ridden her, did not arrive from New York.
