KEELING COLORS WIN MONTREAL, Que., Aug. 26. The colors of Melville "Butch" Keeling, New York Ranger hockey star, were successful in the first race at the Mount Royal track this afternoon when Circulet was up to win the most thrilling race of the meeting. Less than a neck separated Circulet, Lord Rock-ville and Uvira at the end of five and a half furlongs, for Canadian-breds, in the Regent Theater Handicap. Lord Rockville was the dominating factor throughout the race. In the early stages he raced Candy Man into submission, then handled a challenge from Optical. Meanwhile Circulet was being rated within striking distance, while Uvira, slow to get into stride, was trailing far back. Circulet went around the leaders on the final turn, while Uvira drew up fast on the inside, and the three pounded down together, Circulet finishing with a rush on the outside to nod out Lord Rockville, with Uvira a close third.
