MIAMI PRIZES TOTAL 00,000 PIMLICO, Md.f Nov. 12. Racing secretary Joseph McLennan states that more than 00,000 in purse money -will be hung up for horsemen during the Miami, Fla., meeting, which opens January 19. The first big event at Miami is the Hialeah Inaugural Handicap, a dash of six furlongs, for three-year-olds and over, to be run opening day. The 0,000 Florida Derby will be decided over the mile and one-sixteenth route on March 11 at Miami. Several Maryland stables have been granted stall space at Miami and will leave next month for Joseph E. Wideners picturesque course.
