SIR KENDAL improved his position on the back stretch and, wearing down ACCOTINK, went into a safe lead and held SHYLOCK safe. The latter, close up all the way, was unable to threaten the xvinner in the final drive ACCOTINK shook off PURPLE SAGE early, saved ground, but could not keep up with the first two. DAUDET, under restraint and sent up on the insida midway of the final turn, tired. RISNEUR, rated in front, outlasted BODKIN. The latter could not keep up. PRECIOUS DOLLAR raced poorly. ROLLING SEA. The latter worked her way up gradually, was hard urged and fought it out stubbornly.-FAYLIN, messed about for five-eighths, came through and closed gamely. MUD, rated along early, saved ground, but tired near the end. MAINSHEET, a slow starter, closed resolutely. TRAFFIC JUDGE took an early lead, but tired when urged. TINGE was outrun. BRIDEAUX. close up from the start, raced DARK SECRET into defeat, but had little left for the final drive. EVERGOLD, closer up than usual, could not stay in the final half mile. TRED AVON, taken wide from the start, lacked her usual belated rush. DARK SECRET, under restraint for five-eighths, tired fast after a mile. BLENHEIM lacked speed at any stage. AT POST 6 minutes. Start good out of machine. Won driving; second and third easily. SUNVIR, favored by the fast early pace, gained readily to assume command after three-quarters and had enough left to withstand BANDERLOG. The latter worked his way up steadily, went to the outside, but tired in the last eighth. WISHING STAR, unable to remain in early contention, saved much ground entering the stretch and closed resolutely. BIG PLAY, racing forwardly, held on gamely. BROWN PET showed good form.
