I JAMAICA TURF NOTES | s ยป William Garth states that he has ten foals at his Charlottesville, Va.. farm with one more mare to foal. The youngsters are by such sires as Happy Argo, Blazes, Prince of Wales, Omar Khayyam and Strolling Player. Andy Schuttinger reports the arrival of a colt, by Sting, from Bonnie Bell, the dam of Bonnie Cain at Stromboli farm, Jobstown, N. J. The Remount Bureau is seeking stallions from local owners for government use. Herman Kritzler claimed Walter H. from Dr. Irving Jacobs out of the last race at Jamaica, Tuesday for ,500. Jack McPherson stated that Glastonbury which unloaded here ailing, has improved and will be placed back in training shortly. Ogden Phipps, Jr. showed his colors for the first time on Appomattox yesterday. The young sportsman is following the footsteps of his parents into racing.
