CHURCHILLS FEATURE EVENT Kentucky Jockey Club Stakes Field to Number About Ten Arrival of T M Dorset and Marilu Dalton Increases the List of Contestants Several Candidates Work LOUISVILLE Ky Nov 1 With the ar ¬ rival of Joe W Browns T M Dorsett and Marilu Dalton from Narragansett Park this morning hopes that Johnstown and one or two of the E R Bradley six eligibles and several others would be shipped here the field for the nineteenth running of the 5000 added Kentucky Jockey Club Stakes began to take shape today The Brown pair had an uneventful and speedy trip from New Eng ¬ land and unloaded in fine shape Present in ¬ dications call for a field of ten to go post ward for Saturdays 5000 added prize which is expected to gross 15000 15000Late Late yesterday Howard Stearns assistant trainer of Warren Wrights pretentious Calu ¬ met Farm stable unloaded Calumet Red after a short trip from the farm The son of Hadagal and Peter Polly had a slow gal ¬ lop this morning and Stearns announced Irving Anderson would come here to ride him In the event Calumet Red a recent graduate from the maiden ranks Is success ¬ ful in this years renewal of the Juvenile Stakes it will be the second victory for Mr Wright Nellie Flag having been victorious under the devil red colors in 1934 1934Lightspur Lightspur winner of the Kentucky Hotel Purse on Saturday and local favorite for the 5000 added prize also galloped while Dixi anas Star Boarder was given a mile drill Head trainer Clyde Van Dusen came froni Lexington to supervise the trial and with Joe Rosen aboard Star Boarder began his task at the six furlongs pole Going along in hand he ran the eight panels In 142 He was timed the half in 50 and threequarters in 115
