BREEDERS ASSN AND I C R A IN TEMPORARY SETTLEMENT SETTLEMENTRacing Racing Will Be Resumed at Long Branch as Scheduled on June 4 4TORONTO TORONTO Ont May 30 Differences be ¬ tween the Incorporated Canadian Racing Associations and the Thoroughbred Breeders Assn which resulted in a horsemens strike in Ontario have been temporarily settled and the regular schedule of dates will be re ¬ sumed at Long Branch race track next Wednesday June 4 4The The settlement was brought about when both associations agreed to a proposal that AttyGen Gordon D Conant be invited to act as a director of the I C R A in a temporary capacity capacityConant Conant agreed to act and the Thorough ¬ bred Breeders Assn of which the majority of horsemen are members indicated their willingness to carry on racing Conant will sit on the board until the next annual meet ¬ ing in November and in the meantime will prepare a plan such as he considers fair and equitable to all parties to meet the present difficulties difficultiesFred Fred Orpen of the Long Branch Racing Assn temporarily vacated his seat on the I C R A board so that Mr Conant might accept acceptThe The Thorncliffe Racing Assn having can ¬ celed its regularly scheduled spring meet ¬ ing due to the strike will apply for autumn dates additional to those already allotted
