DION KERR FILES PROTEST WITH DELAWARE STEWARDS STEWARDSSTANTON STANTON Del June 4 Dion Kerr trainer of G A Garretts Happy Hunting who finished second to Seven Hills in the fifth race here last Saturday filed a protest to the stewards claiming Seven Hills was not eligible to start George Brown Jr speaking for the stewards stated he and George L Herron would await the return of Herman P Conkling who is on the ailing list before giving a decision in the case caseYesterday Yesterday the stewards were notified by the New York Racing Commission that Sammy Hicks was fined 200 and suspended for the remainder of the Belmont Park meeting for an infraction of the New York claiming rules Acting for D J Sullivan Hicks claimed Seven Hills at Belmont Park and violating the rules raced him elsewhere before meetingShould the close of the Belmont meeting Should the stewards award first money to Garrett the other horses will be moved up E G Hackneys Sir Alfred was third Mrs Walter M Jeffords Sailor Boy fourth and Christiana Stables Ice Water fifth
