Dearborn Stable to Have Strong Unit at Detroit DetroitOverdrawn Overdrawn Triple Winner of Jamaica Handicap in String StringDETROIT DETROIT Mich May 13 Eighteen horses will make up the Dearborn Stable maintained by James Powers and Morton Donnelly of Detroit which C Hyde Smith will campaign during the 73 day meeting of the Detroit Racing Association at the local Fair Grounds beginning May 22 Seventeen of these thoroughbreds are com ¬ ing from Churchill Downs where a number of them have been racing with success while the remaining one Overdrawn is coming from New York Overdrawn will arrive in a shipment of horses Jeff Ed ¬ wards is bringing from the Metropolitan circuit for C A ONeil Jr Miami patron whose stable also will be raced here throughout the summer summerOverdrawn Overdrawn is star of the stable and recently for the third straight time won the Jamaica Handicap His victory in the Jamaica Handicap last year was his only stakes triumph in 1942 but he earned a part of the spoils in eight other important events He was second to Omission in the Toboggan Handicap and second to Some Chance in the Roseben both at Bel mont Park At that time he was owned by George D Widener the gelding having been purchased by his present owner later in the summer Overdrawn raced with some success for the Dearborn Stable for lie finished second to Heartman in both the Buckeye and Joseph Campau Handicaps at Thistle Down and was fourth in the Army and Navy Handicap at the same track trackAlthough Although his connections may try him over distances later Overdrawn is essen ¬ tially a sprinter and probably will make his Detroit debut in the Boots and Saddle Handicap a 5000 sprint of six furlongs which will headline the opening program Another early Detroit objective for him is the 7500 Cadillac Handicap also at six furlongs to be run on June 12 12The The Dearborn Stable horses coming from Louisville are Swain Thisisit Nelson Dun stan Alex Boy Miss Anna G Miss Julie Y Dearborn Dell Miss Mary Jo Albino CuckooMan Runaway Boy Dungeon Night Rain St Dismas Hotzea Traum elus and Muskrat
