Blue Delights Racing Career Comes to End EndPulls Pulls Tendon in Hawthorne Trial To Be Used as Brood Mare MareSTICKNEY STICKNEY 111 May 29 The filly and mare division of racing lost one of its most efficient members when Mrs John Marschs Blue Delight winner of nearly 26000 last year pulled a tendon during a workout at Hawthorne this morning The injury trainer Burley Parke said ended her racing career and she is to be sent to the T C Piatt farm in Kentucky where she will be used for breeding purposes A fiveyearold daughter of Blue Larkspur and Chicleight by Chicle she may be bred to Pharamond II Parke said saidBlue Blue Delight who has been away from the races since late last summer was progressing nicely in her preparation for what had been hoped would be a busy 1943 campaign when she injured herself herselfThe The Blue Larkspur mare was the cham ¬ pion of her sex in Chicago racing last sum ¬ mer and was making a strong bid for national honors when she injured herself in New York Before journeying east last summer she won the Cinderella Arlington Matron and Cleopatra handicaps at Arlington Park and the Princess Pat Handicap at Washington Park all of them in a row Mrs Marsch had hoped to see her try for these same stakes this year
