Checks Totaling 101000 Given War Relief Agencies AgenciesSTICKNEY STICKNEY 111 June 5 Stuyvesant Peabody president of the Lincoln Fields Jockey Club and Col Matt J Winn execu ¬ tive director were hosts at a luncheon honoring Martin H Kennelly of the Amer ¬ ican Red Cross and Robert P Dunham representing the Chicago Service Mens Center in the clubhouse at Hawthorne today At this informal gathering Peabody presented checks in the value of 101000 to Kennelly and Dunham as the Lincoln Fields Jockey Clubs contribution to War Relief The Red Cross received twothirds of this sum and the Service Mens Center onethird onethirdMost Most of the money represented the net proceeds from the Decoration Day program of racing here last Monday The profits fell a little short of 100000 but the as ¬ sociation made up the difference and to this sum was added a 1000 gift from the American Totalisator Company CompanyKennelly Kennelly and Dunham expressed the sincere thanks of their organizations for the gifts andpaid high praise tp racing for the many substantial gifts the sport has made to War Relief
