Longacres New Request For Dates Turned Down DownCommission Commission Decision Unanimous Wisdom Fills Nelsen Vacancy VacancySEATTLE SEATTLE Wash June 10 The second request of the Longacres track for dates for a summer meeting was unanimously turned down yesterday by the Washington Horse Racing Commission The Washington Jockey Club of which Joseph Gottstein is president had applied for 45 days of racing beginning July 3 and endipg on September 6 The original application of the Long acres track which was for 50 days of sport was turned down by the commission but later their chairman Paul Pickette of Spo ¬ kane announced that the application would be reconsidered reconsideredIn In his second application Gottstein had repeated a pledge to place the net profits resulting from the meeting to War Relief and the Veterans of Foreign Wars had of ¬ fered to act as agents for disbursement of the monies moniesThe The action of the Washington Horse Rac ¬ ing Commission was approved by the Office of Defense Transportation TransportationW W A Wisdom noted breeder of Washing ¬ ton state was recently appointed by Gover ¬ nor Langlie to fill the vacancy caused by the resignation of Dr Millard T Nelsen
