Viberta Humbles Rivals In First Race of Career CareerScores Scores by Eight Lengths Under Pena Latter Stars in Saddle SaddleCOLUNSVILLE COLUNSVILLE 111 June 23 Making the first start of her career Viberta a threeyearold daughter of Vito and Lam berto made a show of her opponents in the six furlongs fourth race at Fairmount Park this afternoon Ridden by Marcos Pena leading rider of the current meeting and who scpred two previous victories on todays card yiberta came from behind a fast pace made by Miss Lucifer and Teddys Shadow wore the leaders down in the final eighth of the race and won by four lengths lengthsTeddys Teddys Shadow who was taken back when Miss Lucifer went to the front was not good enough to match strides with the winner in the stretch but easily defeated Miss Lucifer The latter was made the favorite favoritePena Pena had the mounts on Juliet C in the second and Well Over in the third Juliet C had little trouble in trouncing Just Judg men and Ted Greenock but Well Over a firsttime starter had to outgame Mint witch to get a halflength decision Bonnie Gray finished third in the race racePari Pari Favorite took down the decision in the first race and those who coupled the winner with Juliet C an oddson favorite received 920 equaling the smallest pay ¬ off of the season for this form of wagering
